TWIN for Windows 95 1.40
------------------------
Please read the following points before installing the software :-
1: To install the driver use the DISPLAY applet in Control Panel, or right
-click on the desktop and select Properties. Click on the "Settings"
Property Sheet and then click on "Change Display Type", click on the
"Change" box next to "Adapter Type" and then click on "Have Disk".
Select the TWIN for Windows software drive or folder. Windows 95
will now install the driver.
2: The install script modifies the AUTOEXEC.BAT to install the initialisation
program, ORIINIT.EXE or PCIINIT.EXE. However, Windows 95 does not
always reboot after installation, YOU MUST ENSURE that the system has
rebooted so that the slave channel is initialised.
3: When you first install the driver you will only be able to select single
screen resolutions. Select any resolution at the desired pixel depth
(number of colours) and restart Windows 95 so that you are using the
TWIN for Windows driver and the slave channel is initialised.
After Windows95 has restarted, you can return to the Display Settings
Property Sheet and set up a twin-screen resolution.
When you select a display resolution, the options displayed are in total
pixels e.g. twin screen 640x480 horizontal arrangement is listed as
1280x480.
As long as you do not change the pixel depth you can change resolution and
number of active screens dynamically, without restarting Windows 95.
4: The Windows 3.11 version of Black Holes does not work correctly with Windows
95. A new version called TWINControl is currently under development.
Known Problems
--------------
Not all of the display driver entry-points are fully implemented in this release
This means that a few applications may run slowly. e.g. MediaPlayer
We will implement these interfaces in a future release.
DirectDraw is not supported.
Mouse-Trails are not supported.
DPMS power-saving only works on the master screen, this will be fixed in a
future release.
